Ella Nimmers, Executive Director
Ella joined Our House in 1996 as the Emergency Teen Shelter Director. She moved a way in 1998 but returned to Our House in 2009 as the executive director with the retirement of Dr. Carol Christopher, former executive director and founder. Mrs. Nimmers is an alumnus of Louisiana Tech University completing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and two Masters Degrees in Counseling and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. For over 14 years she has served in leadership positions working with youth at various agencies such as Louisiana Youth Challenge Programs and Southern University at Shreveport.
Diana Caldwell, Shelter Director
Diana served as a volunteer for Our House during the agency’s first 10 years of existence. She was the first Safe Place Outreach Coordinator and accepted the position of Shelter Director in 1999. Diana has an extensive financial background and has worked in non-profit organizations for nearly 20 years.
Kristal Atkins-Hayman, Transitional Living Program Director
Kristal was introduced to Our House as a counseling intern in 2007. After receiving a Masters of Education degree at University of Louisiana at Monroe, she began working for the agency as the shelter counselor/case manager while completing requirements for an LPC. In 2009, she accepted the position of Transitional Living Program Director where she utilizes her expertise in family and educational issues related to successful achievement of self-sufficiency.
